Client
Installr is an application created by Geeks Inc, which provides an easy way to distribute beta iOS and Android apps to testers.
Challenge:
The client had functionality of the app, but no design of the user interface.
Solution:
Working closely with the founder of the company, my role was to design the application, over the course of several weeks, from wireframes to visual design including visual UI for the web app as well as the mobile app.
I worked on wireframes and created a visual language and UI elements that I then applied to the wireframes to create a polished visual design.
The client wanted something very simple, usable with no extra flair. Using the logo that was provided I created a color pallete using the blues and added an accent green color for important actions.
The result was a clean UI design and layout which was very easy to use.
I then designed a website to market the application using the same simple visual identity I had established with the application.
Wireframing
I created wireframes of the application, iterating on feedback cycles with the client.
UI Kit
At the same time I worked on the visual design of the UI Elements
Visual Design
Once the wireframes were complete I applied the visual styles and created the final visual design for the web application.
Mobile Design
I then went through the same wireframing/ iterative process and created a mobile version of the application.
Web Design
Finally, I designed a customer facing website to market the app.
